Today's block is called Chicago Geese, and as you can see from the picture above, it gave me some difficulties. Ostensibly simple, triangles bring out my quilty worst. After making a piecing mistake and having to take some elements apart, the attempt to repiece them ended, as you can see, badly. I decided to go for that ultimate in precision: the paper pieced block. I drafted the pattern on a piece of scrap paper and we were on our way!
Now, in my opinion, the results speak for themselves. Paper piecing can be a little rough on the needle depending what you use for paper, but for my money it is the ultimate in precision. Isn't she a beaut?
