Today's block is Mrs. Taft's Choice - very simple. I'm a little confused about the calendar's pattern, since it's asymmetrical lower right corner does not appear in some of the other examples I've seen of this block. More mistakes, calendar guys?
Today we carved pumpkins for the front porch. Our last experiment with pumpkin carving yielded two fantastic reproductions of my favorite Sesame Street BFFs:
This year I thought I'd try my hand at some quilty pumpkins:
This isn't the best picture, and the results aren't quite what I hoped for, but that should be Sawtooth Star on the left and Bear's Paw on the right. I guess they just didn't translate from fabric to gourd as well as I'd like.
