Dear Jane: Success & Failure

Today I finished up a Dear Jane block that I started almost a month ago.

This is M-7, Junko's Rose Garden (10 pieces). It's not my best work - the pieces are a little off-center and wonky, but finished is better than perfect!

Yep, I got all the way through to the end, dunked it in water to wash off the chalk marks, and was ironing it when I realized that the spool of what I thought was white silk thread was actually WATER SOLUBLE THREAD.

Back to square one on this one, I'm afraid.
