Today's block is Flying Squares, replete with set-in seams. These are definitely not my forte, and they've caught me at a most inconvenient time. Let me tell you all a story...
Ten years ago, on this very day, I started my first day at Air Force Basic Training. Two years ago, not on this day precisely but pretty close, my face started to hurt in a weird way. And that was Shingles. About ten hours ago, on this very day, my back started doing a thing, a thing not to dissimilar from the way my face hurt two years ago...my doctor's appointment is tomorrow. Flippin' shingles.
