Here's today's block, Double T. The colors are drawn, not out of my kick-tush new color wheel, but from a massive, supremely hideous bruise on my leg.
It can be difficult knowing what the blocks I make here will turn into when extrapolated into a full quilt, which is why I was so excited to see the quilt below on Knot Garden's blog. This beautiful quilt is called Rosy Posy and was made from a book by Barbara Brandenburg entitled Fancy Things.
And this is the block I was thinking of when I saw it. Her quarter-circles look much nicer than mine, I think, but I still really like this block. Though given unknowingly, thanks for the beautiful inspiration!
