This is the block of the day, Double Cross. But it is but the piddly opening act to my fabulous new quilting acquisition!
This is the B-Line Studio Model Quilting Machine. The sewing machine is mounted on a platform that rolls on tracks from one end to the other, as well as forward and backward. The quilt is stretched in its three layers around the bars, then attached as one to the takeup bar within the sewing machine throat.
Right now I have my blue & yellow Tag Sale quilt in the machine, and I'm fooling around learning with it. I have wanted a quilt machine for a very long time, and every time I walk into my sewing room, I can't believe it's mine!
